Raspberry BLUE VW Golf

Vinyl wraps are not new to Canadian auto scene, however questions like “how long do you need my car for to do the wrap?” come up pretty often.
There are exceptions that take place due to the number of reasons, but the usual full colour change turn around time on majority of the vehicles is about 3 – 4 days.

The actual film installation is far not the only step that vehicle color change involves. After the thorough cleaning takes place, the vehicle moves on to the disassembly station. We believe that no colour change is clean and perfect enough unless small details are taken off the vehicle and wrapped individually. Small parts like door handles, mirrors, antennas, head and tail lights come off the vehicles to get wrapped. Some makes and models are fairly easy to take apart, others are a lot more intricate and complex and require more time to complete. With that being said, vehicle disassembly stage may take anywhere from couple of hours to a full day of labor. After the vinyl is installed, the technician puts the vehicle back together.

In the next few days we will tell you about the Porsche Panamera project where the car went from factory black to a battleship grey and the steps involved in color transformation process.

VW R32 Golf Hood and Roof Wrap

Painted in a gorgeous blue from the factory, the owner of this Volkswagen decided to do a hood wrap, but not in the typical fashion we are all used to. Instead, he opted to do the center of the hood to accent the body lines on the vehicle.

To complete the look, we also had the roof wrapped in gloss black. When it comes to roof wraps, we make sure to remove all moldings and antenna if the vehicle has one. Once the vinyl is applied to the roof, we wrap the antenna if needed and reassemble. Our attention to detail, is what makes ReStyle It the premier shop in Toronto!

Enjoy the photos.

VW MK6 Matte Military Green

e’ve done a large variety of green colored wraps at RestyleIt in a variety of finishes including chrome, gloss and matte. With the limitless choices of finishes, patterns and colors, choosing a vinyl wrap to apply can sometimes be a very daunting task. Lucky for us, the owner of this Volkswagen Golf MK6 knew the direction the wanted to go with, and we have to say, his decision of color and finish was simply flawless.

Originally painted Dark Grey from the factory, we opted to do a full body wrap to a Matte Military Green.  Being a smaller car by nature, we were able to complete this car in very timely fashion. Having wrapped much more complex vehicles throughout our history, the Golf proved to be a simple and clean car to wrap. With clean and concise body lines, we were able to tackle the large panels with ease and make sure the owner received his VW back with a final finish that is the same if not better than his factory paint job.

Although the car doesn’t make a bold statement like a brighter more exotic color would, the choice of color with the black wheels and emblems proves a point: even a simple, darker shade of green with attention placed on the smaller details can make a bold statement.

Having said that, I hope you guys enjoyed this brief write up and the color we have applied to this vehicle. As always, like, share and comment and be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for future updates and upcoming wraps at RestyleIt.
